Grave Matters Group

General

Currently, our targeted areas include Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, Northern Kentucky, and Eastern Indiana. Dependent on the circumstances, we are willing to travel anywhere in the United States.

International services may be available in rare instances.

Yes. We are insured with policies covering General Liability, and Professional Liability (errors and omissions).

This will vary on a case-to-case basis, as we all have responsibilities outside of Grave Matters Group. We will always try to provide you with the services of a team member in a timely manner, especially in emergency situations.

Our individual resumes can be found through the About page of the website.

Generally, we are co-owned by an ABFA-certified forensic anthropologist, and each of our team members are proven academics/experts in their specialties, holding at least a Master’s degree.

We would be happy to provide you with additional services; that’s what we were designed to do! If your project needs any additional surveys/investigation beyond our initial assessment, we are fully capable of bringing in one of our partners to assist in the next phase.

Because of our credentials, we are fully capable – and legally allowed – to take custody of human skeletal remains in these instances. We have many human and non-human remains in our collection already, and would happily accept more under our curation.

In the instance of Native American remains, we have expertise in compliance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (Section 106), and will do our due diligence to return applicable remains to tribes upon request.
